Steamship Kronprinzessin Cecilie, North German Lloyd
This atmospheric lithograph print portrays the North German Lloyd (NGL) liner Kronprinzessin Cecilie underway passing a shoreline, where a family carries their fishing equipment from a small boat. It may be an evening scene: a crescent moon shines above the ship. The Cecilie was built in 1906, the last of a series of four-funnel liners for NGL. She sailed between Bremen and New York until she was seized by the US during WWI and became the troopship Mount Vernon.
